Diagbox Reinstallation - Where to get files?

I've owned a Lexia since 2013 and used it twice maybe.

Unfortunately, the laptop I installed the files on. Well, should I say, Jim at EasyDiagnostics installed it on, has gone to latop hell for its sins.

I doubt I will be able to find the installation discs by the weekend and I have a feeling the issue with the car, may not be just the double relay but also the fact the BSI unit doesn't seem to be communicating with whatever it communicates with, presumably the ECU.

The doors won't door or unlock on plip. Not tried with key alone so I am trying to be primed and get the HDi resurrected.

Is there somewhere I can get files for free? I think it last had 7.13 or 7.57 installed. Largely academic as I have no idea where my original discs are. I think Jim now charges an annual subscription. Is this right?

It turns out the laptop is 64 bit. According to Jim's website, only 2006 onwards can be run on Lexia 3. Of course, I don't know what version Lexia I even have nowadays.

Can it be installed and/or simply run in 32 bit emulation mode?

You will need to run a Virtual Machine (with good clean access to the USB systems) with a 32b O/S to allow the Lexia system to work properly. This is because the Lexia software actually runs in a 16b environment, and this is not available in a 64b O/S.

How on earth do I go about that? I can see this is going to be stressful fun before the weekend.

I wonder if anyone in Nottingham has a setup they can lend me as I fear I'm not going to get this sorted yet again. I've had to buy a keyboard and a CMOS battery for this old laptop. Fully stripped it tonight to find out what was wrong with it only to find out it had a drink spilled on it 10 years ago hence why it has sat gathering dust. Got it up and running and it's 64 bit. More time wasted...

I'll still have an XP machine somewhere but it will take me longer to find it.

I've just read that 16 bit can be run on 64 bit Windows 10 with a .NET framework 3.5 and NTVDM setup? Have you or anyone else dabbled in trying this?

Running in a VM is not recommended as it introduces another layer of grief.

You've got some of your info a bit backwards: Lexia software is for circa 2007 and earlier models, Diagbox from about 2008 on. But Diagbox will detect that and for the earlier models give you a choice of Lexia for Citroen, or Peugeot Planet 2000 for Peugeot, or 'Scantool' for basic OBD codes without the constructor -specific codes.

If you are in a pickle and have a fast broadband connection I can help you with the ISO file for DB 7. let me know if this will be any good, but the files are about 1.5Gb.

If you can get the XP machine running (with at least 1GB RAM (more would be better) it should be OK running the DB software.

I'm all sorted. Jim has got in touch and looked after me. A mate of mine whose garage I use buys kit off Jim so I dropped my forum ID and my mate's name. It's all good. I now have all files I need including 32 bit OS.

Not quite sorted. Had nightmares with the laptop. Done some more fixes today.

When activating it is asking for Car-phone (15 figures) but in Jim’s photo instructions it says just enter “0”.

Only have 7.01 installed so far. Going through instructions point by point.

Any ideas how to resolve Car-Phone Marc?

One for business and one for Technician.
