Diagbox found faults

Post by David_CH »

Hi ! finally i got my Lexia/Diagbox/PP2000, and i've prepared a laptop dedicated to it.

First experience with Diagbox was good, it worked immediately (Win7 32bit machine)

I have also found some faults to check, some are curious to me, like this one :

BSM : Engine relay unit
Response data
R618B964380218000139659741880060CFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

State of the ECU: BSM
Reference 1 : 9659741880
Reference 2 :
Faults present : 3

F98A : Fault : Front right side light
Characterisation : Not characterised
Status :
Location :
Variables associated with the fault

F98B : Fault : Front left side light
Characterisation : Not characterised
Status :
Location :
Variables associated with the fault

F998 : Fault: headlamp washer relay control
Characterisation : Not characterised
Status :
Location :
Variables associated with the fault

My front light are working perfectly, but i suppose i get the F98A and F98B because of the fault of the "headlamp washer relay", it's correct ?
I'll check the box fuses.

The other "faults" is related to the tyre pressure, but my tires doesn't have a pressure sensor, this is the cause :-D :-D

It's very nice to see the amount of informations you get from this diagnostic tool, i'm really happy !!

Another one :

CORPROG : Left-hand dynamic headlamp height adjuster
Response data
R61809657425680002A9657425680010003000D0149951499

State of the ECU: PROJECTEURG
Reference 1 : 9657425680
Reference 2 :
Faults present : 2

P1613 : configuration not carried out fault
Characterisation : not characterised.
Status : Permanent fault
Location : local
Variables associated with the fault

B1111 : headlamps calibration fault (not carried out following a configuration or faulty)
Characterisation : not characterised.
Status : Permanent fault
Location : local
Variables associated with the fault

The dealer said that he had to adjust the headlamps before selling the car, so maybe there is a function on Lexia/PP2000 to do the calibration ?

P1613 is just that - a configuration error - and can relate to different systems. It means something isn't configured correctly or has been changed in the configuration parameters that is not right. It is mentioned specifically in relation to the power steering system - again 'no configuration' or 'configuration procedure fault'. In this case the suspect areas are that it was not configured (at the factory) - or has lost its configuration.

There is no further info as that is all it is stating. Although you have discharge headlamps, they aren't directional, so there isn't a separate ECU for these.

AS for your first post regarding the side lights - check to see if the bulbs have been replaced with LED bulbs - if so that will very likely be registering those errors. They aren't pulling enough current so record an error.
