Hi, I have a 2016 1.2 petrol Cactus. The ABS, ESP, lights came on. The fault code was the front o/s abs sensor signal not correct. I changed sensor but still the same problem. I swapped n/s and o/s original sensors knowing the n/s was good, but still same problem.
I checked the signal from the sensor with a fox well reader and it was not consistent like the n/s but kept jumping up and down with spikes . I have checked the n/s and o/s wiring to the ecu and it all measures OK below 1 ohm.
Could it be the sensor ring in the bearing at fault or what else should i be looking for.
Thanks

You really need to look at live data from the wheel speed sensors to check whats going on.
Can you confirm that all wheels & tyres are the same size & that there is no free play in the wheel bearing?
Sometimes the magnetic tracks on the wheel bearing need cleaning as they can accumulate metal dust, they are very delicate though so be careful, i use a soft cloth & brake cleaner.

Re: C4 Cactus ABS Problem
HI, thanks for the replies. I have changed the wheel bearing, the magnetic track was breaking up so not giving the correct pulses, i would not have expected it for a car only just 3 years old. The new bearing has solved the problem.
