That’s why then, it’s in the fuel injection section, well spotted.

I changed the fuel rail sensor on my C5 2.0 litre HDI (Siemens) when I was having difficulty with fuel pressure recently, plenty available on Ebay many of them genuine Citroen.

No Marc it's running beautifully now, had a problem with the suspension that was caused by blue corrosion in the front height sensor connector, that left the front sitting a bit higher than it should but it now seems to have settled to its proper level without any further intervention.

Just paid the £300 road tax so I hope it continues as it is now.

I think I'm getting too old to keep crawling under cars. :)

So, I'm going to take off the EGR valve at the weekend and see what condition is it in.

If it is gunked up then it would be safe to say that the inlets are not in great shape either. Is it safe to use those aerosols for cleaning this stuff? I'm wondering how putting this stuff through the inlet into the combustion chambers in large globs would not cause problems and/or potentially hydrolock the engine.

Similarly, I would expect those carbon cleaning machines would be the same, but I've not read any reports of them doing this. It seems that the new way is to clean the deposits without removing the parts, so how does this work out?

A former workmate had his car 'hydrogen cleaned' and reported a huge improvement.
I remain very sceptical.

A few years ago I had my previous C5 in for them to remove all induction pipework and EGR and clean them all up, including the intercooler.
They said that lots of crap was removed. Taking it back to work I saw no difference, but that was downhill and only half a mile.

Leaving work that evening, cold engine and up a fairly steep hill I was quite shocked, it felt as though they had removed the 2.0 and stuck a 3L V6 in there, went up that hill like a rocket.
Cost was £200 but included other odds & ends and an MOT.

I've read numerous reports of people saying hydrogen cleaning is fantastic and others saying it is snake oil.
I just don't fancy that soot and gunk going through the turbo and engine!

I'll see what state it is in at the weekend. The car pulls fine though so I'm not sure how much of a blockage there is.

Another question before the weekend, is it a big job to remove the intake manifold on the RHY engine?
Anything to look out for during dismantling or reassembly (if I opt for doing that?) - I don't believe it has been removed since initial installation.

You'll need new seals (2) below: Part 0348N4 (Diam 40) and for (3), part 0348N6 (Diam 50, 6x62 EP 0.5)
The Air intake is no longer sold by PSA though for reference.

Egr has been removed and cleaned. Performance at idle is much better. MAF was recently changed (in last few months).
However P0110 remains and I don't know what to do about it. Any suggestions?

My understanding is that this may affect the fueling as it might be using default values instead of actual values.

It seems it is not happy with the data sent by the MAF. Did you fit a genuine one or an aftermarket one? The original MAF is part: 19208Q. They are not cheap, but the cheaper ones vary significantly in quality and longevity...

Non OEM (SMPE 19652).
It was what can up on motor factors site for the reg.
I'll take it off later and see if I can get the full part number.
