Hi
Could you guide me how to replace a burnt light bulb of the drl (I'm referring to the light at the bottom of the headlamp of the C5 X7. it seems that the access to it is quite tricky. do I have to dismantle the whole headlamp? it is the left hand side headlamp.
Thanx.
Avi

It can be done without removing anything, at least it can on a non hydractive model, not sure what access is like to the RH lamp with a BHI in the way? you basically have to do it by feel, there is a torx fitting in the middle of the bulb holder (T30 from memory). Undoing the holder the 1/4 turn is the easiest bit, the rubber O ring on the holder can make it stick in the headlamp. I used a pair of miniature long nose pliers & managed to wiggle them loose. Make sure to clean the O ring & apply a light smear of silicone spray or similar which will make it much easier to come back out the next time.

You should replace both really at the same time as the other will likely fail too. If you are replacing them, it might be worth doing an LED upgrade on these - much cheaper than the replacement stock bulbs and a better result.
