Hi guys,
I finally installed Diagbox and was trying to change one setting the previous owner enabled.
On the BSI configuration tab there is an option called “police configuration” which makes the headlights flashing when you manually turn them off on the stalk. I’m disabling it and it says operation carried out however it still flashes. I’ve tried to change the seatbelt warning sound and it successfully changed and no warning beeping on it. So I’m sure its working properly. Why it wont let me change the flashing option even though it carries out the operation?
The only thing comes to my mind is, the previous owner told me when he changed it he connected with all the cables comes with it, 30 pin, the voltage cable(looks like battery cable) etc. I’m using just OBD cable only. Would it make any difference?
The car is 60 plate 3008 1.6 HDI 80kw 110hp, engine is DV6TED4 9hz.
Thank you for the help.

Re: Lexia won’t overwrite
What is the VIN of your vehicle - changing certain settings in the BSI that are not intended for the specific vehicle can cause multiple issues.
Are you saying the previous owner was not a Police Officer and enabled this function and that you are not trying to turn if off?
Are you using a proper Actia VCI clone with Diagbox, or are you using a Diagbox on a laptop without the VCI? A photo of your diagnostic equipment would help if you are not sure.

Hi,
Yes that’s right, he wasn’t police officer or something he has changed the setting.
That’s the setting I’m trying to turn it off.
Im using a clone on my laptop with just the cables on the picture. Also I’ve attached the VIN too.
Thank you

I can't access the BSI configuration at present, but ensure that when you are on that option in the BSI, and have made the configuration change, you must press the cog wheel to apply the change:

Yes definitely, with the green tick it takes you to the options for the current selection and wheels to save the change. It’s saving I’m sure as it takes 5-6 seconds and then says operation carried out, you can see the option is changed on the screen but not on the car.
