After 5 and half years of sterling service I have sold my C5 2.0HDI 163hp late 2011 tourer model with 180000 miles. It behaved perfectly and never let me down and had the best headlights for a halogen car ever. It is a superbly built and super comfortable cruiser. It is still on its original clutch and exhaust and I used it to go up and down the motorway. Crystal cold air con, no steering issues. I serviced it every 12000 miles using MANN or MAHLE filters and used Castrol Titanium FST Edge 5 30 C3 engine oil. It's new owner will be very happy with this barley run in car!!!
Goodbye Silver Jumbo and thanks to this forum for being so informative.

Re: Bye Citroen C5 X7
Did you have to top up the Eolys during that time? Or clean the DPF?
What is the replacement Kenny?

Re: Bye Citroen C5 X7
Morning all,
I had to top up the Eolys at 92000 miles. I had the DPF chemically cleaned at 174000 before going to France with the Eriba caravan this summer. I am not going back to Alfa I'm afraid. I have got myself a Jag XF Sportbrake with the PSA 2.2 HDI 200hp engine. At least I know the engine is bullet proof. There is no other car that compared so well to my beloved C5 X7 Tourer.

Re: Bye Citroen C5 X7
Good afternoon all, I thought I would say a quick hello and update on some interesting findings between my previous C5 X7 Tourer and its replacement the Jaguar XF Sportbrake. First and foremost the Citroen can't be beaten for comfort or noise insulation at City speeds, at motorway speeds both cars are as quiet as each other in the cabin. The other important point is that with an auto box, the Jag is effortless at towing and the rear air suspension helps too. The Jag is most certainly an enjoyable car to drive as it feels very nimble compared to the C5, it has quicker steering and leans less in corners. However, I must say that I still miss my old C5, the French quirks and character is missed. Wherever BN61MOF is, I hope it is being well maintained and cared for. I hope you are all well on this forum too.
