Greetings to all,
I would like to ask if it is possible to replace the exhaust gasket+springs&bolts without removing the heat shield above?
The bolts holding the heat shield are badly corroded and I'm sure, that some will snap, and the extraction would be nearly impossible on a mounted manifold.

Re: Xantia exhaust manifold to pipe gasket question
Actually, despite the corrosion over the heads, and the necessity of a 9,5 mm hex-bit , the bolts came off fairly easily. Nevertheless, I can't imagine all the efforts for the removal of the corroded spring's bolts being done with the heat-shield in its place! The space is really tight, but its doable only from above with alot of cursing and etc. Everything from the bolting assembly should be removed, because you won't be able to mount the new parts. Have fun
