Bonjour! new 2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi owner - Corby

A forum for new members to introduce themselves to the rabble already onboard. Not compulsory!
Tell us a little about yourself, lie if you have to but keep it to just an introduction, not a car discussion.

Bonjour! new 2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi owner - Corby

Post by cliveski »

Hi there, just saying hello :)

I recently bought a one-owner 2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ with full leather interior, parking sensors and glossy black paintwork.

I have had lots of used cars over the last few years, including a couple of other C5's, but none have felt or looked 'like new' like this one does - the interior doesn't look like it's ever been sat in!

Fingers crossed it will serve me well - it was cheap at £1,200 so I'm prepared to spend some money on it. I just bought some original roof bars via eBay for a bit more practicality when required (It's a saloon).

Welcome to the forum. I also recently purchased a C5 estate, same model as yours but an 08 and without the leather. Mine also is in good nick and has covered just over 100k miles. The reason I bought it was for the ride, most comfortable car I have driven in many years and it has steel springs!

I ran hydropnumatics for around 25 years from the days of the CX but wasn't impressed with the early C5's but am very impressed with this one although it has the perennial leaking steering rack problem.

Welcome along. We had a C5 a few years back, wife loved it and was going to kill me for swapping it for a Renault Grand Espace (the Proper one made by Matra 8-) ) She soon forgave me when she got to use the XK8 instead... Not many new mums driving around with baby in a 300bhp coupe :-D

I'd have another C5 in a second, but it would have to be an estate for me 8-)

Have fun on the forum. I'm new too, but everyone is great....
Has anyone seen the plot? :?
