Renewing multi plugs
Hi all, does anyone know how to identify multi plug types?
Years ago i replaced the 4 injector plugs and the wiring harness on my old xm sei. They were Bosch EV1, two pin type.
I'm looking to make a wiring harness that has the 7 (or maybe 8) pin plug for a CX / BX ignition module and the 3 pin plug to the distributor.
Are these commonly known as 'Bosch' type?

Do you have a picture of the plug?
Almost all multiplugs & terminals can be bought separately from Citroen assuming they are now not NFP.

I believe this is the ignition module I'm talking about.. a 7 - pin flat plug connects to this and it's this plug I am seeking. The other plug needed is a 3 pin type that's similar and it's used to connect the other end of the loom to the distributor. A more familiar 3 pin plug that has one or two 'keyways' in the moulding. I'll get a picture later.

And here's a picture of the distributor with the corresponding 3 pin plug. I've searched a good few PSA plugs but they all seem to be the more recent types. Nothing really certain to fit this. I'll admit I've only skimmed a search though.

Now I think of it, the ABS sensor plugs on my 1993 Xantia are this same type albeit 2 pin

The 7 pin one is part no 96010936 but is showing as NFP.
There is a 3 pin repair connector (comes pre wired) part no 6544TY this is showing available.
The key ways may not be exact so may need slightly modified.

Hmmm interesting! I'll admit I never go to the dealer for anything but might enquire about the 3 pin repair plug if they still have it. I was kind of hoping to find out if these plugs had a generic type/ name. I was hoping they could be searched as an aftermarket type of repair/ rewirable plug.

A breaker's yard might be the best bet for the 7-way connector.
Although often made by companies like Cinch and Amphenol, many of those connectors were PSA specific, and not available on the open market.

Was looking on Parts for one of those 7-pin module connectors, to see what cars (for scrap search) it might have been fitted to. Couldn't locate the connector on its own, but did find this complete lead for BX.
Lots of varieties of it (all NFP) - presumably with connection differences.
Looks like 3-way at the other end.
Do you have one of these leads that is repairable, or has it been lost?
