Although my brakes seem ok around town, stopping quickly is not an option. Motorway driving is scary. Reminds me of when the rear callipers had seized on my old 406.
So I’m thinking that as I’ve put new shoes in back, could it be the brake compensator that needs
adjusting ?
If the weather hadn’t been so s**t lately I’d have serviced the front callipers, but is it worth trying to see if they lock up first ?
The pedal just feels a bit wooden if I brake hard, and they don’t really stop the van.

Are the discs and pads actually in good nick? The rears don't do a great deal on a Berlingo unless it's loaded up. My brakes got pretty poor on my Berlingo when the discs and pads were worn out.

If the weather clears up I’ll take a look. Nothing said at mot but just driving round town feels fine, it’s when going bit quicker n you have to stop suddenly, I’m having to nearly stand on the pedal.
