Recommendation for a EGS specialist garage in North Norfolk

Post by danson89 »

Evening, I'm a new member and am looking for recommendations for a local garage in North Norfolk that specialise in Citroen's and EGS gearbox's. I'm not able to select any gears on my C5 1.6 HDI with an EGS gearbox. Thanks.

Hi and welcome.

Unfortunately, I think you'll find most independents will run a mile in the opposite direction at the mere mention of EGS.

They are great when they are working but can be difficult to fix and expensive. I would suggest you get it diagnosed with Diagbox. There is a chance that the clutch and Dual Mass Flywheel may need changing when this starts to happen and then the whole system will need to be programmed once done. So not for the casual Joe at the local indy.

Marc, Thanks for the reply and advice, starting to realise it's probably not going to be cheap.
