citroen synergie heater blowing air randomly

Post by tony1976 »

Hi Forum the last few days my car randomly starts blowing air through the vents almost like i've turned the heater on but the heater is off.
anyone else experienced this before or may have an answer to my predicament?

Is it whilst driving? Could be just the air dam effect of outside air being forced in.

So you have cable controls for the distribution. Item 7 below still shows an A/C reduction motorised control. But the data isn't clear on the exact function this one unit performs. You have 3 cables shown on he first diagram but 4 sliders on the control panel IIRC...

Of course you do! I was dealing with another Synergie owner at the same time and he has the Auto Climate control - sorry about that - I'll edit the post...

ok so after monitoring this all week its definitely like someone is switching the heater on for a small time and then it turns off.

a friend told me it may have something to do with the webasto heater it has fitted could this be correct?

can the webasto heater be removed?

I just checked and you do have automatic additional heating fitted and it’s very integrated into the system as you can see....

Here you go Tony - the resistors (10) are attached directly to both the blower motors (3) & (4) as shown. So these will need to come out in order to get the old ones off and replaced I suspect.

Tony the part numbers below are for your Synergie, and having checked the VIN of the donor car for you, I can confirm the parts are exactly the same.

The Blower Control Module is part number: 6441F7
The Left Blower Motor is Part: 6441E3
The Right Blower Motor is Part: 6441E2

The Webasto heater only heats up the coolant, i very much doubt this has anything to do with the issue you are having.
If you did want to remove it completely you would just disconnect the coolant pipes from it & join them together to create a loop, disconnect the electrical connections & blank the fuel feed pipe.
