Can Diagbox/PP2000 recalibrate Electric Power Steering torque sensor?

Post by Jay-Bruce »

Hi, as per another thread,, when driving my 2006 peugoet 1007 1.6 auto (2-tronic), I am experiencing significantly lighter steering to the right than to the left, I've since hooked up Diagbox/PP2000 on it and can see at rest the sensor is reading 1.1nm torque to the right, at full lock right - ie pushing against the end of the rack - its registering 11.1nm torque right, and conversely at full lock left - ie pushing against the end of the rack - its registering 8.9nm torque left. so it looks like its meant to detect 0-10nm either direction, giving a 20nm range, based on -10-->+10nm, but my rack is reporting a 1.1nm to the right offset.

So before I start disturbing things that are probably not meant to be interfered with trying to tweak the sensor back to neutral, I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to "zero" that sensor in software?
