I'm not a Citroen user, but that find is definitely awesome! I don't see them releasing more recent manuals any time soon (too much money to make in garage franchises + increasingly complicated systems that aren't really fixable by the average person) but that's already it.

Now, if more car manufacturers would follow suit...

These paper booklets were all that I and other mechanics really used over the years I spent working at various Citroen dealerships.
They were so useful that they consigned the 'Big Repair Manuals' to a permanent life on the shelf in the service manager's office : -)
Thank you for a useful post. Unfortunately they won't help me sort the elusive flat-spot my 1.9D XUD Xantia. I think need a reconditioned brain for that...

Will do. More a problem of my health issues than the car's illusive fault. Trying to work it out in my brain.
Worked on XUD from '85 to present time. Fault is intermittent...
It's a 37,000 ml Xantia n/a XUD btw. Never seen veg oil. I think I've cracked it. I'll start a new post soon.
Thanks W Ex.

I found a "The Citroën Technical Guide" .pdf file over the Internet. Its around 600 KB in size. I think it provides interesting information. How can I upload it to the forum?

No need to upload it — Anyone wanting this first-rate explanatory document can get it from the authors' site here:
http://citroen.tramontana.co.hu/en/the- ... ical-guide
The PDF can be read, downloaded and printed from the link there.

It has become something of a bible for classic Citroen owners, especially the sections describing and illustrating hydropneumatic suspension, and the evolution of Hydractive, H2, H3, H3+ and Activa.

Co-author Gabor has also compiled a number of documents on BX and XM, not least a highly logical and splendidly presented re-working of Citroen's wiring diagrams for the XM range.

Ooh, thought I'd found the mythical workshop manuals for a sec...

Sadly, just model spec. handbooks.

Mechanics' Handbook
Utility vehicles:
C15 – Berlingo – Dispatch – Relay

C15 etc Handbook cover.JPG
Note that data for all four of these vehicles is included in each of these booklets
and that there are five editions available - 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005.

The series of booklets was updated as time went on, and certain sections (eg Starter motors) did not re-appear in the later books, so you may need to consult one of the earlier ones.

Although no longer produced, all five are included for viewing/download in the table above.

Brilliant work pulling this together in one downloadable page, Marc.

I've had some of these before from service.citroen and they're somewhat useful, but not wholly comprehensive (either in range of tasks covered or detailing each step that's required - they assume some level of familiarity and don't cover all engine etc. procedures) and don't cover anything for diagnosis/fault finding.
Unfortunately PSA oem manuals are a long way behind many other manufacturers, both in terms of these mechanics manuals and the other modules that cover wider servicing instructions, wiring etc.

Anyway, as I say, great work making these easy to find and available to all forum users!
