Desoldered the relay but having trouble finding a low-cost replacement.

The part no is YH119 (with spec codes) 012-1Z11-1A
I found an equivalent part number HG4199 012-1Z11-1A

Thought I'd be able to get one off Ali Express as their listing stated 248 available but after filling out address and payment details - get some sorry apology they're not in stock!
Found another site claiming hundreds in stock but after clicking Add to basket, again get told not currently in stock.
Found an ebay seller listing for the exact relay but with message saying seller isn't processing orders at the moment, save to WatchList. Perhaps there's a worldwide shortage

Other option is to buy a comparable BSI and swap the power board but I'm looking to keep costs down (this is a rescue car) and not otherwise waste a perfectly good BSI. Like I said, a broken one will probably do as long as it wasn't removed due to a central locking fault.

It looks to me to be very similar to: https://uk.farnell.com/te-connectivity/ ... dp/1024021

Looking at http://www.tyhhk.com/pdf/YH/YH119.pdf which I think is the "original" datasheet,
and http://www.farnell.com/datasheets/1736846.pdf which is the Farnell datasheet.

AFAICT, it looks an exact match, thank you! No doubt it would have taken me a long time to work out what and how to cross-reference such a component.
Cheap as chips too, even with their non-trade handling fee.

...and free UPS next day delivery! Outstanding Farnell.

Replacement relay soldered in place, boards engaged, covers back on and BSI ready to refit.
Without the passenger door able to open, it was quite a struggle to get all the connectors back on and the BSI clipped back into place but it's all back together again and after hooking up the battery, as I opened the unlocked drivers door, all three doors unlatched from their deadlocked state.
Normal service is now resumed.
Thank you all for your contributions.

Excellent work. Well done!

One has to wonder whether this is the cause of all the other widely reported door lock problems. Or at least a good proportion of them.

Is that all problems fixed now?

Aside from the doors not opening and the car not starting, I've barely looked it over tbh.
I know there's an EGR excessive flow fault that might need it's own thread :-D

Hi, well done :)
. I have same problem.
I've got the relay from Farnell today, removed BSI unit, found the relay...
How did you dismantled the bsi panels (two layers)
I see there any compression pins to connect the two panels together.
How can I dismantle the two pabels? :)

Thabks for your help!!!

Hi there,
I have been reading the forums and trying to resolve my C3 locking issue for ages now. I have the same issue as described all three doors deadlocked and cannot open from the inside. I can only open the car with the key in the drivers door.
It looks like it is the relay on the BSI.
From reading up on this issues it appears that the best way to remove the two parts of the board are to use 'chop sticks' to prize them apart with car. Making sure that you do not crack anything or damage any of the connectors or board.
I know it sounds a bit strange and I have not done it yet but that is what people on other forums say.
I am just a little unsure as I hear that you have to un-solider the old relay and solder the new one in. I am thinking of taking to an auto electrician I do not want to damage anything, but may be worth a try.

Let me know how you get on.

I have just separated the two boards using chop sticks. It was a bit of a struggle and at times I thought it was never going to part. However, they did. The pins are connectes to the smaller board and come out of the bigger board that has the fuses on them.

Yesterday I took my separated bsi board to a local auto electrical shop with the new relay (as detailed above). I did not feel confident with trying to take the old relay out and putting in the new one, so I thought pass it to an expert.

Today, I went to collect my board with the new relay attached and the old one in a bag. Ten pounds lighter I put the two boards together and put them back into the plastic case. After putting in all the plugs back into the board and connecting the battery, I checked the doors. At first I had to unlock the drivers door with the key, but after that 'BINGO' all doors open and lock with the key fob. The central locking button on the dash also works. It all works as it did and the issue has been resolved.

Thanks to everyone on this thread for first checking it out and confirming what to do and what to buy. I have been able to fix a potential car changing issue for £10 for the relay (& p&P) and £10 for the auto electrician to solder. I did investigate the cost for others to look at and one time I was quoted £130 plus p&p.
