After forgetting to "do the Heardle" yesterday, back with a Genius credit today. Including the pic isnt going to be too much of a spoiler, but one of those days when selecting from the list of options is vital, I would never have been able to match the words required from free-hand typing.

Got that one, makes a change.
Odd as I don't like it, just a lot of noise.

Female artist, familiar song, from 1994. Took a bit of finding knew the song at 4 secs but couldn't drag the artist or the title up without a bit of creative research. The title isn't obvious from the lyrics you hear, and the song is much more familiar than the artists name which I would never have got.

I thought she sounded a bit like Vanessa Carlton, and this site pulls out "similar" artists/bands and there she was on page 2. https://www.last.fm/music/Vanessa+Carlton/+similar

Heardle

No chance for me with the Heardle today but there is an associated poignant story of the cover image shown.
As a pickled egg find out rather than a quiz question...should you wish to follow it do a wiki look up of the Album by the artists which features that image, and follow through to the story of what is depicted. That isn't staged, its a photograph of an event in 1963 in Saigon Vietnam.

Recognise it. What it is and who by may come to me in the next day or so.

Edit: Just did. Prefer some of their other offerings though.

Bit of a chose the wrong ed sheeran song yesterday fail, but got it today in the full 16. A case of misheard lyrics where I heard

" I smiled at a guy who thinks he blind, he's also known as a buster" when the actual lyrics, and obvious on a listen again, are "A scrub is a guy who thinks he's fly, and is also known as a busta"

I get from the genre and the lyrics its going to prove difficult for the FCF faithful! :-D

16 second job on Heardle
today.

Not the foggiest and just as well. Sounds dreadful.
Was that Ed Sheeran yesterday. Would never have got that.
The only one I know is "All Of The Stars" but a cover by a young American singer, I'm sure you can guess who.

I think the FCF faithful will struggle with this one unless they were in da club in the 1990's or listened to a lot of car radio. Still on playlists now, so here is a clue

Not a clue as usual, though from Neil's clue I would guess 'stardust' comes into the answer somewhere! :-D

you have nailed the "band" ...
Spoiler: show
Probably more information than anyone needs to know about the track!
Stardust was a one-time band consisting of Thomas Bangalter, Alan Braxe and Benjamin Diamond.

History
The band released its first (and only) song in 1998, titled "Music Sounds Better with You" which suddenly became popular. The song samples "Fate" by Chaka Chan.[1]

It was recorded in Paris at the Daft House Production studio, where Bangalter was based at the time. The song was conceived at the Rex Club in Paris, where the trio was playing a live set. Both Bangalter and Braxe made the melodies, while Diamond sang vocals. The next day the Chaka Khan sample was added in the studio.
