Its Shakira! If you have to research it after my clue, best I put you out of a fruitless task straight away, because you will be none the wiser for digging it out.mickthemaverick wrote: ↑24 Apr 2022, 12:34Means nothing to me I'm afraid!! Clocked that it was Shakira early on.
Not a fan but she is quite an impressive woman.
Love this, mainly for the concluding part.
Saw her do this in a bullring in Spain.

That's why you really have to select from the options on their list rather than type in the answer freehand.
You probably typed in the right band/ and song or vice versa, but they use the official titles with the brackets for the other phrase in the song, and obviously correct answers are sometimes rejected because the title is not exactly as their database has it recorded.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Watching another one of the Great British Car Journeys with Christopher Timothy and Peter Davidson something was revealed about All Creatures Great and Small I never knew.
No spoilers just bash the answer out if you know it, and the more detail you have the better.

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
I watched the whole series of the lad's motoring adventures and I remember them discussing Christopher Timothy's character's pseudonym. Jim Herriot was a Scotland goalkeeper that Alf Wight saw in action and pinched the name from there because the professional veterinary body banned all vets from publishing any adverts IIRC?NewcastleFalcon wrote: ↑26 Apr 2022, 15:30

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
That's pretty much it Mick, he played for Birmingham City at the time, and Alf Wight noted the name after watching a televised game between Birmingham City and Manchester United.
Alf Wight himself attended many matches at Roker Park, and was a Sunderland Supporter. Why...
The Sunderland Echo may have a clue...

Regards NeilAlf Wight was born in Brandling Street in Roker in 1916. His main job was as a vet, but he became better known to the world as the author James Herriot. His books have sold over 60 million copies and been adapted for TV and films, including the series All Creatures Great and Small.
As a baby, Alf Wight was taken to Glasgow where his father had found work.
