Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
A few simple quizzes from BBC Archive.
Tomorrow's World... future fact or fiction?
"What do you know about predicting the future?
Between 1965 and 2003, the BBC’s flagship science programme Tomorrow's World looked at how technology might change the way we live in the future.
Now that the future has arrived, here's a quiz that looks back at a world where mobile phones were mind-blowing and home computers were like something from science fiction."
https://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/quiz_tomo ... ay/zfk8d6f
Top of the Pops dance routines
"In the era before music videos, Top of the Pops needed something to accompany songs when artists couldn't make it onto the show.
Enter Pan's People, a dance troupe who themselves became stars thanks to their weekly and sometimes very literal interpretations of some of the 1970s' biggest hits. With no sound to guide you, can you guess what songs they are dancing to here?"
https://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/archive-q ... le/z787qp3
Empty sitcom sets
"Through the magic of television, a sitcom set has to make viewers believe that three wobbly walls and no ceiling are the centre of its characters' lives.
You may have seen these living rooms and offices many times before, but can you pick out the comedy show when there are no actors on set?"

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Interestingly I have done all of them scoring 4 on Tomorrows world, missing the CD, Debit card machine and home computer date; 6 on Pans People getting The Beatles wrong would you believe!!; and 5 on the interiors missing out on Only Fools and Capt Mannering's office.
Thanks for that bobins and I saw there are many more on the page to be looked at in due course!!

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Mediocre day on the dles, 3 for the worldle, an unlucky 5 on the wordle, and 2 more threes on the nerdles. As for the heardle I know both song and artist once I played the track but got nowhere within the 16 seconds!!

Heardle Officially got it in 7 seconds, unmistakable, definitely maybe the best band in the world some might say in their time in the spotlight.

I had a bit of a delve Mick, and ended up in a posh bit of Hertfordshire, without spotting a finger post sign.
I thought the most likely B would be Brookmans Avenue

Re: Pickled Egg Quiz
Not Brookmans Avenue but you are not too far away. A bit of triangulation with the places on the signs should drop you in the right place!! As a clue I'll tell you that the finger going away from the camera has Brookmans Park on it but I'm not sure of the mileageNewcastleFalcon wrote: ↑15 Apr 2022, 14:50
