Saw one of the Mercedes stable of Green Flash cars. I'm guessing it was one of these. Way out of HM Gov's plug-in-grant cap. It is the bargain basement of the Mercedes range £46,600 ish OTR depending on options.

If you are willing and able to pay £460/month after a deposit of £8,200 for your driving pleasure of 10,000 miles a year, just get what you want. You will have paid in the region of £30,000 over the 4 years for the pleasure, but give Mercedes a final payment of £23,375 and the car is yours.

Gets an "academic", "irrelevant" and a resounding "no" from me, as the Bargain Basement Motoring, and Bargain Basement Electric threads testify. :-D

Spotted this BMW the other day. Not on a charger but parked in a Loading Bay.

Not unremarkable until you see what he passed to get there.
1640251900558.jpg
No sooner had he left than a white ICE car pulled in followed by two lorries.
1640251900538.jpg
Where's the second lorry you might ask? Well there wasn't enough room for it to get in so it pulled up further along the street on double yellows to make it's delivery.

What is so important that cars have to stop there on a regular basis? Might it be the Bookies just round the corner?

You're dead right there Gibbo, but it's a much better looking option than the current collection of EV's given a decent paint scheme of course!! :-D

Better than some of the stuff currently on offer.

Just been for daughter's C3 and spotted a Zoe and a Mercedes at a charging point.

A Tesla S in white and one in black, a leaf with a maladjusted headlight and an electric mini - didn't know they did one. Probably has two AA batteries.

Mini Electric is in 2021, one of the 2 electric car models currently being built at any sort of scale by the Automotive industry in the United Kingdom.

The only other possible contender is The LEVC Taxi, built in Coventry.

The LEVC taxi is a "range Extender Hybrid ie all electric drive with a range extender petrol engine which powers a generator. Website indicates "*Pure EV range of 62.5 miles, official EAER (Equivalent All Electric Range) figure, achieved under WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure) test conditions."

Taxis are exempt from the ULEZ charging, but the Plug-in-Grant for Taxis is supposedly only available to vehicles capable of (70 miles) without any emissions at all
Taxis
These vehicles are purpose-built taxis and have CO2 emissions of less than 50g/km and can travel at least 112km (70 miles) without any emissions at all:

Dynamo Taxi
LEVC TX
The grant will pay for 20% of the purchase price for these vehicles, up to a maximum of £7,500.
Wonder if they need a bigger battery!

The dirtiest white Leaf, in Lydney today, looked as though it had been dirt tracked for a few hours.

Another hospital, another electric mini on charge in the car park, together with a row of other electrics.
Dark, chucking it down and trying to negotiate the busy and crowded unfamiliar car park in my daughter's C3, I didn't have time to see what the rest of them might have been.
