A 19 plate Leaf in a colour which couldn't make up its mind whether it was apple green or silver but a metallic sheen. I followed it all the way to Stevenage and then it went into Burger King and I went on my way to B&Q. :) I can't find a picture of a Leaf in the colour but this Millenium Jade Nissan is very close, a tad too green but that may be because I saw it in bright sunshine:

I think I saw a Jag I-Pace (which is the electric one, not the E-Pace you might expect!) the other day, but it was just a fleeting glance as I rode by the front of it, and I didn't really know the difference. It was a 21 but on London plates so I might not see it again...

Well spotted :-D , not a very frequent spot, my last one was back in September 2020.
NewcastleFalcon wrote: 29 Sep 2020, 11:15 Just had a very enjoyable conversation with a Couple visiting from Harrogate in a KIA Soul EV.

I would say that most EV drivers I have spoken with have one thing in common, they are enthusiastic and happy to talk about EV driving and their cars. So if you get the chance as well as a spot, when you can have a chat.

NHS Fleet Solutions, got a fair crop of I-Paces (700 reported) in a deal with JLR.

3 when I was out on my bike yesterday... A black MK2 Leaf a couple of years old, and a white Kia Nero and black T3, both on 21s.

99% sure the Jag the other day was an I-pace, not chunky enough to be an E-pace. Not seen it again yet

I saw a Tesla with a sticker on the back "My other car is a Tesla"

Is this so he can have one on charge while he drives the other?

If he buys one of the new Chinese-Tesla models he will be able to change his sign to read 'My other car is a Tesla too' :-D

Welcome to the thread Minibago :-D

Look out for the green strips on the number plates They became legal but not compulsory on 8th December 2020. Not universal by any means, a few of my 21 reg EV spots have just had the ordinary number plates.
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/road ... n-uk-roads
The new number plates can be retro-fitted to any existing vehicles, including cars, vans, buses, HGVs, taxis and motorcycles as long as they emit no CO2 emissions at the tailpipe. They will consist of a green flash on the left-hand side of the plate and can be combined with the Union flag and national identifiers already permitted by the regulations.
Image

Spotted a 21 reg Black Nissan Leaf with the Green Strip Plates. There could be a "Set" to collect, as you may spot the green strip with country logos for the UK.

The lady with the Leaf, adopts the acquire new, 3 years and replace strategy, so she has had a few Leafs.

That strategy results in a fair chunk of monthly outgoings as the first 3 years combine the highest fall in value which has to be paid for in the monthly calcs. On the other hand no end of life battery worries scenario, and update if you wish to better spec range with what's available 3 years time.
