Yet another unbelieveable contestant on a TV quiz:

Q: Which African country has coastlines on both the Med and the Red Seas?

A: Kenya?????????????????

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

I really despair at the future for this country - another TV quiz question answered by a 25-35 year old chap:

Q Which ancient English provincial city is an anagram of rod fox?
Spoiler: show
A London ???????????? What on so many levels!!! #-o #-o #-o #-o

I think a lot of those mistakes are caused by nerves and the need to answer quickly Mick, I bet the contestants kick themselves all the way home. :)

TV ads that attempt to blind you with bull**** science. Just seen one for Fairy dishwasher capsules. According to them the dishwasher uses 12l per cycle which equates to 2 minutes of running a tap ??????? So the argument is run your dishwasher every night regardless of whether it's full or not and you will save more water!!!!!!!!! Funnily enough that would mean using 2-3 times the number of capsules of their product!! So the truth is you'd use 84l of water and 7 capsules a week versus on average 36l and 3 capsules a week which they say is better for the planet???????????

Of course the purpose of TV advertising is to create product awareness so from a marketing point of view it is a good ad, evidenced by this very post!! :-D

I like the adverts that claim : "Nothing is better than our super-whizzo product"

.....In that case I'll use nothing ! :-D

The trick is to not watch any adverts.

My question on the current adverts is "Where did the phones go?"

The ladies doing the synchronised dancing in the kids garden pool are both holding phones, then they're not. :)

But then I'd miss the opportunity of donating hundreds a month to save the tigers, adopt a donkey, provide clean water in Africa, food to children refugees, preserve the dolphins, sponsor a guide dog, rear a giant panda, maintain cancer research, fund the British Heart Foundation, care for sick and injured animals, be a friend to lonely pensioners, provide antu biotics to Africa and of course set up a funeral plan for myself!!! Life just wouldn't be the same!!
PS, I do donate monthly to my chosen 3 causes, none of whom use half my donation to send me cuddly toys or monthly updates etc. :)

You have to wonder at Persil's advertising strategy.

More Concentrated = Useless
Persil not very good

Incompetent medical personnel (in their entirety!). I changed GPs recently after poor care from the previous GP. Despite me actually telling them the full details (amounts and weights) they got my prescriptions wrong more often than they got it right (I am on MTX and Folic Acid for arthritis). A formal complaint has been upheld. Then, when I had communications with my current GP I found I was entitled to a free annual health check (and had been since I was 40), which the previous practise had not told me. Finally, I found that I have been diabetic since 2016, with one follow-up blood test confirming this in 2017. There were no further blood tests (until one on Tuesday with the new GP), and my records do NOT show an official diagnosis of diabetes!
