Amazon prime free month is about to expire Dec 6th and already cancelled. Its been worth the £0 for the month.
Got my feast of the Autumn Internationals Rugby, Clarkson's Farm, and the entire Travels by Narrowboat, Premier League Football mid week this last week, and today A documentary about the Atom, and also a documentary about Colin McRae.

Regards Neil
He charged around in a Subaru Legacy, which made me think of Mick's current, I presume more sedate steed!

This from the archives is appropriate for me today. As my amazon prime free month expired I finished off with a series of 3 programmes done by this chap, Jim Al-Khalili, back in 2007 called "Atom", I thought I had come across him before :-D

Quite amazing the discoveries made by pioneering scientists.

I believe that the Top Gear Christmas Special has one of the Guys driving a Citroen BX. I only caught a glimpse (as I was not fixated on the TX), but it could be worth checking out.

EDIT; Confirmed. Chris Harris unwraps his car to find it is a red BX H reg (and, by the trim, probably a 4x4 GTi). Chris looks VERY happy with it.

I keep seeing a red BX cross my tv screen but I haven't been watching close enough to know why. :)

NewcastleFalcon wrote: 03 Oct 2020, 21:45 I wondered if you were watching the new all creatures great and small on channel 5. I binge watched episodes 2 to 5 the other day....thought its not going to be as good as the original but...I think its very very good I mean for me it cant go wrong, gentle nostalgic entertainment against a backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales lovely stuff :-D . I think the cinematography is better than the original.

and now I have discovered that Series 2 is all available on Catch Up on Channel 5 together with the Christmas Special.

again it was like a book you couldn't put down watched Series 2 Episodes 1-5 on the bounce and I have to say thoroughly enjoyed it right up my street, visually stunning and superb character acting by the cast.

All in all without taking away what went before, I reckon it not just matches the original TV series with Robert Hardy, Christopher Timothy, Peter Davidson et al, but the presentation is far better, and the characters spot on.

I agree. While the original series was excellent for it's time, this series shows all the characters in a more realistic fashion - especially Tristan this time round.

There's plenty episodes to watch here. Amanda and Clive Owen and their 9 children at the remote Ravenseat Farm past Keld in the Yorkshire Dales.
