I am NOT a fan of Strictly Come Dancing. However, this particular dance was shown on BBC Breakfast, and what makes it remarkable is that Rose Ayling-Ellis (an actor from Eastenders) has impaired hearing, and needs to wear a hearing aid (she has said that while she cannot always hear the words she can pick up the beat). Her reaction at the end is lovely; she KNOWS they nailed it!

I like the dancing and I'd watch it if they shut the judges in a back room and only showed the points.
As for the football I was going to watch match of the day 2, Aston Villa v West Ham but only half a minute in West Ham scored so I went to bed. :-D

Does anyone remember the original 'Come Dancing' on BBC with Peter West? He was a customer of ours, used to repair his TV.

Mastermind tonight. Tough set of General knowledge questions for the final contestant to take to the chair.

Think I got 10, 12, 10 for the others, but for her set of questions 7. She was a bit unlucky I thought.

Peter West was the sound of the summer used to do most of the cricket, he was a friend of our boss at Queensway Radio, used to come into the shop also some of the other local and well known players. Colin Cowdry was one.

I still have my autograph book from those days complete with Colin Cowdrey, Peter May, Ted Dexter, Ken Barrington, Brian Statham and Freddie Truman. I used to go to county games with Dad at the Oval, Lords and occasionally up to Trent Bridge. It was affordable for us to attend county games whereas test matches were beyond his means. I blame him entirely for my love of sport in general but I wouldn't want it any other way! :-D

That's interesting Mick. I wasn't particularly a fan of cricket but being a TV engineer when we only had one station I couldn't really avoid it. I think I was a great disappointment to my dad, he was football mad, I wasn't the least bit interested.

I just started watching Mastermind for the first time in a very long time but gave up halfway through the second contestant!! The questions are just too long and boring when the subject doesn't appeal. Switched over to BBC4, Bob Ross far more relaxing!! :-D

Only livens up with the general knowledge, specialist subject stuff too specialised.

Did learn something though
What was Inspector Morse's car before the Jag :?:

Would have to go back to recap the exact question but the answer on Clive's card was a Lancia!
