If you could find some forum members to do the translation, and offer that service to Revue in return for ??, that might grease the bearings a bit.

I just hope that their reply wasn't a bit of French 'snobbery' with the suggestion and referral to 'Haynes' which as we know are only good for wiping up the oil spills with. :rofl2:

It isn't difficult to find the genuine PSA workshop manual suitable for a 2009 C5 on t'internet for free if you look. Be aware that it's the 'generic' manual in that it lists the various options and isn't specific to any one derivative of the C5, and it's also not bang up to date. But for most purposes, it's entirely fine.
Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(

So I have had a reply from Revue Technique this morning:
Good Morning sir,

First of all, we thank you for your interest in our products.

It is with attention that we have taken note of your email below.

We are awfully sorry to inform you that all of our journals and editions are written in French.

We hope one day that we can produce magazines in the English language.

We thank you for your trust and loyalty.

Cordially.

So we can but wait - but they are already working on lots of these for the newer models and what's more, they also provide different manuals for the different engines. I hope they take note as these would be very useful, having used them myself.

What about if you bought a French one, had it translated (Google, page by page?), and then posted the translation on here with a link to the French ed? If enough people downloaded the translation it might just wake the publishers up.

These are copyrighted, and every single image and photo has the purchaser's email embedded and repeated all over the images. A condition of sale is that you do not distribute these as you risk comeback so it's not something I would do Hagrid :-D

The translations that I have done are arduous and invariably the layout is incorrect after the translation. With PDFs, as you probably know, it is not like a word processor with everything being multi frame based with placeholders too - it becomes a mammoth task. It was for the one I attempted and that was just one small section.

I'd probably have to be reincarnated 3 times to have enough time complete one :-D

When they have finished the Aircross ones I will probably invest in one anyway as it is a great resource to have and with good images you should be able to wing your way through.

Very interesting indeed. So much so that I downloaded all the sections. I realise that this is probably for the early X7 and will have to be used judiciously but way better than nothing.

A little bit of a struggle to do so as first of all the web site didn't like IE11 at all and refused to load (Error 1020 - never had that before) and then under Chrome it said I was running an adblocker (I'm not). I had to open an incognito Chrome window to actually get to the pages I wanted. There was the minor inconvenience of having to run a Captcha identification window every so often but a small price to pay.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.
