The exclusive only had the 2.0/2.2/2.7/3.0 hdi engine options unless special ordered and you asked very nicely and got a 3.0 petrol but I don't believe anyone in the UK ever did this.
The 2.0hdi with Aisin 6 speed auto is great!!

If the gearbox fluid hasn't been done yet get it done, it takes 2-3 part changes to get it flushed but worth it and also get the cambelt, water pump, six belt and tensioners replaced as they will be nearly 6years old and worth it for peace of mind.
Injector clamps should be torque up and services imo should be between 6-10k interval. The Citroen 20k interval is silly and leads to very bad oil in the system, not good for a high boost Diesel engine...

WHM always have a few in stock but try and get leather if you can as its so much nicer as a cruiser than the standard 1/2 leather sporty stuff.

Like the older model high pressure pumps for the suspension are becoming a common fault and dpf/fluid issues but if they are given a regular good run there won't be any issues of fluid is kept topped up.
There is also a common aircon pipe that gives issues as well. Worth getting. A warranty on one if you get it to stay covered and Citroen do a good deal on cambelt installs I believe.

There was another thread that I started discussing engines as well that might be useful - it's titled something like 2.0 and 2.2 HDi, but I think the 1.6 was also brought up.

Good work Jenny, they are worth it. The message function is just a gimmick imo.

With the leather it's worth giving it a good clean twice a year and a feed to help stop it stretching out and leaving it rippled like loads end up doing :(

The 8v 1.6 hdi is also 5 bhp more powerfull at 115bhp.. Im hoping as Ive not heard of any issues as yet, they will be like the 1.4 8v hdi engines, that never blow their turbos either! My brother has a C3 1.4 hdi 8v and its been blowing an injector seal for about 2 years.... Turbo completely unharmed.

To be honest though Kenny, go 2.0 16v hdi 160... YOU WONT regret it!!

2.0 hdi 16v appears rare in full leather as leather was ALWAYS an option, but Ive been looking more and more to see whats about as mum has an 08 Exclusive but with half leather, and fancy a newer, but with full leather ... Full leather gets heating and massage, what I DO like about exclusive seats is the top of the back rest will also tilt forward to your shoulders.... I LIKE that a lot!

Ive also just found an X7 Dealer Brochure we must have picked up at some point...

There's a good few lately with full leather ranging in price from £2500 to £12000 in 4 or 5 door guise and from 138bhp to 200bhp depending on the engine and covering auto and manual.

I'm keeping my eye out for a white one with pano roof but the only one that's come up so far is a bit highly priced...

Paul I can (just about) forgive Citroen for losing the 4 sun visors and going back to 2, for this feature... even though I am only 1 week into new X7 ownership, the tilting upper seat I think will make a huge difference to comfort/support etc

saying that, the older c5 with heated leather was always a very very nice car for the long (and short) journeys .. it may not be a looker, but it is a really good car and I am pondering what is actually better about the new fancy one..

I may elaborate on this soon :) I love the old one and I am very happy with the new... but I am not used to the new one yet..
all that aside, I may have strayed off topic as this post was about C5 and C5 facelift, not the C5 X7

So do s2's suffer worse with the handbrake cables going stiff, or am I just lucky with the ones on my s1?
Driven two s2's now and both of them had horrendous stiff handbrakes! (one of them even had a receipt for changing them in the last 30k, too!)

They shouldn't do as both use the same handbrake setup.
Really imo the only ones to fit are genuine ones and ensure there is a blob of grease on the exposed sheath end as after market ones generally don't last as long from ones I've had fitted to my past cars.

S1 and S1 Facelift use the same daamm stupid cable in a tube guide setup, the cable splits at the front in the wheel arch and water gets down into the tube and rots the plastic that coats the cable... Useual sign is not stiff handbrake but a caliper one side or other holding on and not releasing..

X7 handbrakes are ALL, sprung or hdraulic, operated on the REAR wheels!!

I like S1 C5 now, with facelift just getting the edge over the original.. X7 growing, as mum has one, but not ready to or cheap enough for me yet.
