Hope you are enjoying your dabble into electric motoring Gibbo. An electric home chargepoint, an excellent bargain basement electric car and a smartphone to boot...surely more motoring interest and yes excitement than a petrol Nissan Note which you were considering at one time :-D

I seem to have struck it lucky with the Pod-point Neil, they said the previous version that I'd ordered was out of stock so they've given me the latest more expensive version at no extra charge.
All installed in about two hours, pairs with the wi-fi app and the computer.
I would have bought a Nissan Note I think if this hadn't popped up unexpectedly.

So last weekend my wife and I went to see this historic steamer. This one is narrow gauge utility line on the Vaser Valley, in Maramures County, Romania.

I am not sure, but the FAP might be off on this one :)

Wow... That's something :) I think most romanians prefer german cars. As for me, it's not that I hate german cars, it's just that I don't like rust. So I buy french cars :)
I'm glad to be here.

That's an interesting observation Alin, I've always ranked French and British cars as second only to the infamous Lancia's for the dreaded tinworm!! :-D

My 2003 C5 has, basically, no rust. My dad's 1999 Xantia only minimal at the jacking points. My brother in law's 2007 Passat has tons of visible rust and, most likely, a lot more not visible until you put it on the elevator. Both my dad's and mine were bought from France so nothing special I would say.

It's probably fair to point out that most of my perceptions about cars are founded in the days of my serious motoring as a rally driver so probably my observations are based on cars built in the 60's, 70's 80's and 90's!! :-D

The oldest Citroen car I had was a 1989 Citroen BX and I would say that rusted a bit more, the hidraulic lines for the suspension and breaking were always leaking due to corrosion and the body always has some rust on it.

Another day, another picture :) I don't have that many but some, I would say, should be shared. This is taken on Transalpina, my favorite mountain road in Romania, with the highest elevation of 2145 meters. In the picture is my previous car, the 2019 Hyundai i30 Comfort 1.4 MPI. And yes, the car would struggle at that high elevation being a naturally aspirated small engine. This road is closed in the winter time and, generally speaking, would not be a good ideea to be used in the night as there is no cell phone service for most of the part and a CB radio has limited usefulness here.

Lovely pics Alin.

You may be interested in this thread. I put up a question with a Romanian Connection. Mick came up with the answer and a bit of additional info, and Richard W also chipped in with a follow up video.

Poured ceaselessly for 24 hours. Usually the street would be a river by now but out flood defences put in place last year, together with the water company and council clearing the sewers a couple of weeks ago have eliminated that.
Boring!

They had to drag it to the main street and empty it out.
