So what do the letters S.B.C. mean on a brick. :?: found near Canongate Bridge (picture previously posted).

Well turns out its almost guessable Scottish Brick Company is the answer. Around 1969, saw the NCB selling off its brickworks with the Scottish Brick Corporation (SBC) taking over most of them in Scotland, some 33 sites.. The SBC then started using its own stamp on the bricks it produced, usually the initials SBC. There are various designs of stamp that differ in letter, frog and marks and it is very possible that each site marked their bricks slightly differently in this way.

Plenty of detail as usual on the Scottish Brick History Website

Didn't get a great response to my last fire photo - people apparently felt they'd seen enough of distressing bushfire images. However while fire is certainly a terrifying master, it is a valuable tool when used as directed.

Here are members of my family enjoying a spectacular bonfire on Saturday evening, while at the same time helping me tidy up pine trees that died in the 2019 drought. The bad news is there's another 10 trees to go - each individually big enough for another bonfire!

Blessed are the content providers Armidillo, and it just a matter of persistance. Many people will view and enjoy, but not bother with the additional effort of a response whether that be the very onerous task of a single click on a "like" icon, or indeed the old fashioned way acknowledging with a few words and and comments to keep the conversation flowing. Regard it as just a matter of fact, and take satisfaction in the providing :-D

Just because we don't reply doesn't mean that some of us don't understand responsible burning/behaviour. Maybe us "silent" ones should take a shine to ourselves and "big" ourselves up instead of just sitting out.
You go for it. I, for one, love to see different things even if the are not "sensationalised".

Think I have just committed myself to not sitting on the sidelines.

Whats a good title for the image?

Diesel Particulate filters aren't that good
How did Mack pass the emissions Test

or Maybe something else

Say what you see.
