Not very good with trees but I'd guess at Elm, Birch or Willow? :?:

I think it is an Elm Mick, possibly a Wych Elm which has a particularly rough bark. Its a very tall tree, ancient looking tree which leans over the road, close to this bridge. I don't have a better ID than that although when it sprouts leaves flowers and fruits ID will be easier.

Thought I'd cheer myself up and treat myself to a new car...

So I visited a little back-street showroom this morning to see what they had...

By the look of those tyres, I think you might find the ride a bit harsh.

Not game to sneak up a bit closer to take the photo? Think I'd be afraid a salesman might jump out and try the hard sell on me...

Crap parking
Crap parking
No enhancement done, the Fiat parked overnight like that blocking entrance/exit from that part of the street - three feet further forward would have made all the difference, as would actually parking it in one of the two empty spaces.

Aston Martin's finest hour was when they produced this vehicle in Bahama yellow.
1970's of course, their new stuff doesn't excite me one bit.

Is that a typo there Neil, should the colour not be Bahama Yellow? :)

Car of the day
Tremendous gallery from Bonhams The Aston Martin Works Sale 17 May 2014,
bottom of the page of blurb here.
https://www.bonhams.com//auctions/21900 ... 000&page=1

The scenery on this one looks very like the Durham moors.

That Persuaders series is running again on one of the Free-sat channels I think.
