Don't care to much for the paint job and it has the wrong grill, looks like a Mk2 Consul - nice car though. Does anyone recognise the engine?

An XUD9 non turbo of some vintage may be close. Similar air intake plastic bits, but no exact match.

Peter, I like that Humber a lot, colour scheme too :D

A great project to make really lovely! Strong money though...

Neil, not far off at all ;) They all had a few detail differences and as a result no two were ever the same... The Humber has a Lucas pump by the looks... My guess is that it was out of a late C15 van or an early low-spec. 206...

2 Jet planes flew over the bleak terrain out on the dog walk , we sometime have a flurry of USA to Istanbul planes, these two were heading North West ish.

One was the UPS run from Cologne to Louisville the other Amsterdam to JFK.
Got a collectors item for the Trivia Investigation Team current telegraph pole subject, to be posted in due course.

I had just photographed a this nice sunset scene, when I noticed a Roe Deer with its sprouting antlers in velvet, and another one close by. They were no further away than 10 metres and werent alarmed by me or the dog, Great chance to get a decent picture without zoom. Clicked the camers...no memory card internal memory full. In the time I flicked through my recently taken pics, to delete one, I decided they were too good to delete any, so bang went the chance.

I can report that later on in the walk daffodils are blooming in Northumberland sheltered by a dry stone wall, as are crocuses, which only last week were under 2 feet of water in the floods.

I don't object to the colour scheme Jim its the lines that aren't right, not the original 2 tone pattern. Don't care much for the Consul type grill either.

I was hoping for something a bit more powerful than that, probably no better than the original engine. Did they have a RWD application for the XUD? I wonder what gearbox it uses. Might drop him a mail.

The only RWD I know of for sure was the Sherpa van Peter... I don't know what gearbox it used... Something from the BL stable I'd guess...

My lovely new garden fence to replace the one that blew down in Storm Abbigail or whatever she was called :)
fence.jpg
Neighbour and I shared the cost to allow us all to afford a decent long-lasting fence that matches the other fences in our gardens...

The concrete posts and gravel boards should last a lifetime...

My garden is so shaped that four neighbouring fences surround it and the only bit I'm responsible for is the three panels in the picture!

That may be so but as we're all friendly and neighbourly around here we fully share costs and maintenance...

I am so blessed to have the best neighbours :D

A nice job Jim, that certainly should last a fair while!!

As for neighbours you probably don't know how lucky you are, ours are a nightmare!! :(

Odd sort of day, rain, then gorgeous, then wind and rain.

In the gorgeous period I was out with the dog, and as I discovered, a camera out of battery. Had a really good chat with a MGZS EV owner. Yesterdays car of the day was a Porsche Taycan, certainly not to Steve's taste as room 101 confirmed, today's car of the day is this....and due to the dud battery its from the NF archives.....
