It's a Huawei Y330. I had seen it for £170 in Asda. The following day I went to my daughter's for her daughter's 13th birthday and saw one on the table. It was part of granddaughter's birthday present and had been £35 - from a different Asda.
Daughter went back there and secured the last one for me - £25.
It is mainly for texting, I don't like speaking on the phone but have had to while eldest daughter has been in hospital - youngest granddaughter has been living with me and of course lots of concern from various bodies.
Was granddaughter who advised on how to receive calls.

You and me both Steve... I do all I can to avoid it... I only answer it to known callers and all know it's got to be kept short and to the point...

Odd, as face-to-face I love talking and I'm hard to shut-up

Surprised the phone has such a rubbish camera... At that price it should be good... Huawei normally have decent cameras...

Sometimes it is OK but yesterday I tried taking photos of my reversing light bulbs - took ages to work out how to remove them, the photo's were hopeless.
Just repeated it today with the SLR and better but not much. Seem to have difficulty focusing on them (it).

I want to replace with LEDs for more light. That car is awkward to reverse, poor rear vision, especially at night when I take it to my son's for him to go to work in. Have to reverse it into his driveway between a pair of neighbour's cars.

It is partly the positioning of the reversing lights, above the number plate so the spread is limited.
Partly uselessness on the part of the driver too.

Also took a photo of the local council 'raking the forest' to prevent forest fires, as Mr trump would advise.

Barely visible :(

Was there anyone driving it Jim :?: might have been one of those autonomous self driving things "piloted" from the HQ.

Back in february this year there was a "grand Drive" all the way from Cranfield to Sunderland of an autonomous Leaf.

PS one of the Video comments, some people like them :-D
Great video. The new Qashqai might look like the recently launched Nissan Rogue in the USA. If so, it will look superb. :-)

Oh, I don't know. I think it vastly improves the look of the car ;) Honestly, I do...

You can't immediately see how ugly it really is

I don't know Neil, wouldn't surprise me, knowing just how Cranfield is the absolute epicentre of the 'white heat of technology' as one erstwhile Prime Minister might have said...

Cranfield is on the bleeding edge of a lot of stuff... It's amazing just what goes on there...

I don't recall hearing any sound from it so it may well have been an electric one...

Peter, you should treat yourself to one. I guarantee it'll transform your life :) I'd be lost without mine... It can do so much..

Mine, apart from being a phone, is my diary, email client, web browser and is a great way to interact with Facebook, Instagram, Strava, and WhatsApp...

It's also the receiving end and result processor for my Garmin running watch and cycling computer.

It's amazing what it does really...

Purely as a comparison with me Jim, how often do you back yours up, or do you use auto backup onto the cloud? :)

Auto backup to the cloud on everything... Courtesy of Google...

It works so well that when I last replaced my phone everything transferred across from the cloud to the new device seamlessly...

The other advantage is that all that's on my phone is also available on the Google suite on my laptop PCs...

If Google ever goes down the pan I'm snookered!!!

I was wondering about that Jim, as you know I don't use google, except for youtube on a dedicated laptop, so I back my phone and laptop up to usb HDD's every other week, laptop one week, phone the next. I use microsoft's joint user platform for access across the different devices principally because I run Windows so it is integrated if you want it, and that also gives me some backup on Onedrive but I don't rely on it because I don't pay for it so probably wouldn't have any rights if they lost my data!! :-D
