I think this is a Buff-Tip caterpillar (Phalera bucephala), but welcome corrections
Sadly no longer a C5 owner

Totally agree there bobins, and this is the adult moth:

I saw Mum yesterday. She was currently moored in Hungerford, but planned to head down to Kintbury, so I parked my car there and walked the rest of the way with my camera (and it got good usage).

Wow! Lovely walk James and thanks for sharing the pictures. All excellent, but I have to admit the one which gave me that little extra burst of excitement was the Railway Bridge with the appropriate ID.
You can have one of the east coast mainline at Alnmouth Station done in finest austere whitewash! in return

Well I thought it would be easy to locate that bridge James but the number 80 is the Canal and River Trust Bridge Number.
The Network Rail Reference is not clear enough on the photo to make out but I find it is
BHL (engineers line reference) Railway ID 59 66
Brunsdon's Lock - over Kennet &avon Canal -

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
To celebrate my 3100th post I have found a picture of a car which amazed me when I saw it. Easy enough to track down but can anyone name it TOH?

Well if the badge at the front is right its a Suzuki and its your 3100th post so how about a
Suzuki SXR 3100 Katana (everything after Suzuki is made up but they did have a motorbike in days gone by with the Katana moniker!)

The Suzuki SX4 name in the mainstream has been adopted by a tedious SUV a complete contrast to the machine in your pic.

The wasps seem pretty inofensive at the moment, they seem more inquisitive than aggressive - we will wait and see.
