Picture(s) of the day....

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

Not sure but it feels like it has been raining here now for about 40 days and 40 nights. Not much chance of some arty photos of the new motor up in the Northumberland hills , or down at the coast today.

Could have taken a pic of a flock of about 20 long-tailed tits out on the dog walk this morning, but a long-tailed tit in the upper branches of a waterside tree is a touch too small to look anything more than an indistinguishable dot.

So in summary I have drawn a blank, so who will save POTD (hopefully without resorting to biscuits, or Scotts Porage Oats :-D )..although whats the most ancient item in your pantry? could be a theme.

Before we get into that theme, how about a celebratory cake? :)

As regards the oldest thing in the pantry, that's tricky for me because we don't have a pantry, so here's the oldest thing in the kitchen!! :-D

I dont know why we keep this and why its not been consumed, but it came from Mum and Dads who never had a drop of drink in their lives, but I presume kept it for "medicinal purposes". My grandmother similarly when we found a bottle of sherry in her pantry claimed the same thing. :-D

Irrelevant because the photographer was skulking in the dining room, and thus not in the kitchen, with the camera round the door in order to get the shot unnoticed!! Should it be discovered I won't have to worry about never being able to drive!!  :P :x :-D :-D

Sunday morning and my 900th post which has come round rather quickly after the 800th, obviously I'm waffling too much! To celebrate this one I have a pictorial duo. The first chosen for its "proclamational" framing and the second because it's MINE!!! :-D :-D
