You could try pear cider! Probably just as disgusting as the jam but after a couple of pints you just won't care!! :-D

Gibbo, POTD welcomes pictures of pears........they stimulate innuendo as evidenced here. Addo used to be quite active on the FCF, and registered this complaint on my topic "A nice Pair but too easy for a whatsthisthen?"
addo wrote: 02 Aug 2014, 10:28 I want to complain on behalf of myself, Northern Mike and anyone else who had greatly differing expectations to the actual content, when clicking on the topic titled "A nice pair".
Our own Steve replied with this furthur stimulating participation

What's the best way of using them up, nobody wants to take them off my hands and I can't eat them all.

Somebody suggested pear jam last year so I made some, it was disgusting.

When we lived in Kent many years ago the fruit was abundant and delicious, down here fruit trees don't seem to grow well - except Bramley apples. I grafted a bit of Bramley onto a crab apple tree in the hedge when we first came down here and its now about 20' high and buries us in apples every autumn.

The local wildlife seems to like them, the tree hangs over part of the track and we find a lot of partly eaten ones and some with teeth marks in them.

The landlord is a bit of a seventies throwback, as far as fruit based drinks go. There are still a few bottles of this lying around somewhere

Picture(s) of the day....

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

My offering for Picture of the Day, photograph to follow later today is of this
DAF UNKNOWN 1992
Registration number: K157WKK
Body type: Truck
Colour: Green
Date of first registration: December 2018
It did look in remarkably good condition for a "K" reg. No MOT records from the DVLA.
5900cc Diesel Engine 7500KG. Year of Maunfacture 1992.

Here's one with a bit of Nirvana!

So as trailed here it is...I presume it is an Ex-Army vehicle, and it looks to be having some sort of "conversion"....camper or food truck perhaps although it is a bit high off the ground for a food truck.

I dont know the "mot" requirements of Army Vehicles but as said above no DVLA records of MOT. Seem a pretty robust truck as they would have to be, and 4wd too.
