Trees get in the way for almost everything
A new family moved in across the road, they have four kids, a six year old boy, a pair of twin four year old girls and a two year old boy.
There is only one other child in the street, directly across from me, a two year old girl.
The new kids play out a lot, mostly on the grassed areas but sometimes on the road - scary!
Fortunately a fairly quiet cul-de-sac so fairly safe other than the bloody delivery drivers who don't seem to be able to drive of park with any kind of common sense.

Lovely kids but they shouldn't be out unsupervised at that age, a local milk roundsman had the misfortune of a two year old crawling under his float, he jumped in and off, bump bump, he picked up the dead child and walked up the road with blood streaming down his white overalls and tears streaming down his face..
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

Sad but true. When all the "what ifs" line up the consequences are horrendous. There but for the grace of one "what if" go all of us. I wish people who deliberately cut corners and don't do as they should could witness this and see for themselves the devastation one extra "what if" could cause. Time to tie up the hobby horse until the next time!

Pleased to see a pair of historic brick kilns in Milton Keynes are being conserved/restored
These are near the Grand Union Canal at Great Linford and these days are surrounded by rather lovely parkland...
I guess they were built near the canal to make transportation of the raw materials and finished product easy...

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Time for another of my celebratory car series. A fair few around with 6.3 litre engines since it is a favoured size by at least three engine manufacturers, so I have picked a car which I have never seen in the flesh, in fact it doesn't ring any bells at all as to TV or Film appearances so I can only assume it was too expensive for frivolity!!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I had an invitation to review a mattress from some seller today. I often read through the description blurb as you can often tell it's from China from the English and grammar.
Well I'm not sure what they are trying to convey, but suffice it to say I think we get the gist of it!

The Rudge Whitworth wheel fastener, which led me to an incorrect guess of Mick's Red wire wheel poser on the "Wheel Meet Again" thread

What an odd advert...! Definitely shades of grey...
- One foot on the floor, so that meets the '50s film censor rules
- Careful when you get up, that you don't bang your head on the metal lampshade
- And everything raised on a set of bricks??
- So as not to disturb your partner - caters for the "I see you started without me..." folk, then!

The Bank staff took one look at the suspicious masked character, but then noticed his hydraulic Citroen had been parked outside for a while. No risk of a quick getaway, they decided.

When interviewed concerning his activities the masked character claimed he was simply waiting for a train but his satnav had let him down!white exec wrote: ↑07 May 2021, 08:21The Bank staff took one look at the suspicious masked character, but then noticed his hydraulic Citroen had been parked outside for a while.
