Four of a kind spotted today.

I thought at first that's a FCF familiarity phenonemon after MIck selected a Westfield for his A-Z choice.

No it was 4, Caterham "7"'s. Battery out on the point and shoot so no original pics. There was a blue one, a red one, and a matt grey one and probably another red.

Around 50 miles on the bike today and not one single spot :(

Tomorrow should be good - National Drive It Day...

Sadly, I'll not be spotting as I'm competing in a duathlon and cameras of any sort are banned during the event...

This afternoon I spotted (on the M25) a lovely looking PROPER Mini (black roof, white body), and an L reg Ford Cortina MkIII GXL (in the typical yellow body, black vinyl roof and dual headlights).

33027 miles since 31st December 1937
33027 miles since 31st December 1937
1141 cc according to the DVLA, and currently just popping out for and occasional MOT and then back home to it's garage. Lovely looking little car. It has a "sports body" on it. I'll have to have a dig around to see what it is. Austin other is the only description on the available records on line.

That looks like a big Harley Davidson engine in the Morgan three wheeler, I bet it vibrates like a pneumatic road drill.

Classic Car of the Day?

Post by NewcastleFalcon »

Came across this on an auction listing for Morris Leslie's Sale this month.

How much interest will it generate? either on the pages of the FCF or at the Auction

It has a guide price of £3,000 to £4,000 but they aren't making them any more. Extremely unlikely to be making them again, and it is the top of the "luxury" tree for the model...and its been Ziebarted from new so it may have half a chance. Its in Denim Blue Metallic ("find another one") and has a highly polished Burr Walnut facia and door fillets, Leather trimmed seats and Wilton carpets and a Nylon cloth trimmed headlining. By customer demand there are rear picnic tables fitted to the back of the front seats...nice touch.

So what is it. This of Course

click and it gets big enough to read the guff

Hard to believe, the notorious Austin Allegro enters lead balloon territory Check back to the early days of this thread....rattled along at a fair pace with plenty of comment/interaction.

Has everyone just become bored :?:

Lets see if this creates any interest. Yes only 3 were ever made. What's it called. :?: Featured on this thread back in 2015. There is some excellent stuff in the pages of this thread so when it gets snail-like have a dip into a random page, and dredge up some interesting content.

The rear is less imp-ey, but yes you are just about there. Excellent for TOH, finish it off with a bit DDG for the name/story
