Nice white Triumph TR6 , as well as a MGB GT from Switzerland, a 1988 Mercedes 300 SL , and a little Midget in the same car park. Could be all on a little tour together :-D

Minor off-topic. More of an unusual spot.

It was the "burble" that caught my attention. Came from the rear then burbled up the hill. All i got was the private reg no, and didnt recognise the badge. As it turns out the owners of such cars clag badges on them to reflect their Australian Heritage. The "burble" was from a V8, with a capacity of 5967 cc.

and it was

Saw a 1976 Brown TRIUMPH 2500 TC AUTO on the A1 today.

Sort of like this, although this example is from New Zealand
Waimak Classic Cars, North Canterbury New Zealand

Must Admit I do like a lot of photographs which the listing in the link ^^ does. Particularly like the interior shots. Brown in general is much maligned, but have to admit, I do find the brown combined with the interior colour interesting. Triumphs do have a rather nice orangey wood dash....yes not your dark well grained beautiful walnut but I like it! Like the little indicator repeater on the silvery trim between the doors too!

I made an emergency roof rack for my BX estate from a couple of 3 x 2s.
Worked quite well.

My builder friend had an oak front bumper on his Land Rover.

Believed to be a pre-production Maestro. Saved from banger racing a few years ago. The interior shot below doesn't even come close to conveying how brown the interior was. The only thing that wasn't brown was the dials :-D

Classics seem so common on Torbay or on the A303, particularly in the summer (or perhaps it's just t w/e that's when they're more visible) I can't keep up with my sightings but a couple of weeks ago outside the w/e abode, I heard the sort of burble you just don't get any more, looked up to top of the close, just as a black Healey 100-4 (I think) passed & disappeared round the bend. Have to assume it was a visitor, as have never seen it before - but hope to again.

From a link to Notices what have you spotted, when viewing classic Triumphs you may just spot the odd adverse camber at the rear....

Going through Ropley, on the A31 Friday evening coming towards me was what I took to be an Excalibur SS but as it drew level I realised the roof was completely wrong - might it have been a Zimmer?
