Dont think our 2020 crop of artist could turn out stuff like this.... useful if you get on Popmaster and you need to remember the hits of the RAH Band

John Wyndham Stowaway to Mars....or indeed H G Wells First Men in the Moon

A fair amount of the film was filmed in Letchmore Heath and Aldenham School, both of which I drove past today!! :-D

Well don folks, excellent crop for sci-fi author theme night.

I did hear this track the other day on the radio, put it on you tube and let it autoplay on. Thought to myself, yes Tears for Fears were pretty good. Wonder if there is a sci-fi author, specifically Wells and Wyndham, connection which would have allowed me to include it in last night's theme.

Thanks for digging it out Mick, jolly enough.

Another link I rejected was to a goldfrapp album, but I gave them a bit of an airing on youtube because I'm sure they had hits but couldnt remember any of them. Anyway came across this little track and video which must admit I enjoyed. Good bit of fun.

Dont want to bog the FCF Musical Advent Calendar currently on B with more than one selection for a selected band, but I just let Booker T and the MG s autoplay on today, and have made a new discovery....what an excellent catalogue of work, really enjoyed it.

Whats one of the most covered pieces of popular music ever "Summertime".....well imagine yourself in the deep south on a porch listening to this....it captures the mood more than any version singing the words I have heard..
