Seems like the right song for today:

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

This very nearly made it to "The Chain" thread

Who knew?
So a link from the British Interplanetary Society, it not through Aurthur C Clarke and 2001:A Space Odyssey but a surprising discovery that the Carpenters Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft was a cover.....
and here it is.....its a slow starter

On an aimless meander through YouTube I stumbled over this. A bit of a surprise. I do have a Van M CD that has his daughter on it. Can't remember her name and too idle to go and find it, Too Long In Exile album.
However:

Quite a pleasant surprise.

I did think at one stage this might have had something to do with Micks Quiz. Dont know what it sounds like because the laptop was on mute. George Harrison and Billy Connoly on stage, was looking for Harold Wilson in the Hall, and strangely Michael Caine kept appearing so wondered if Richard Burton was skulking about somewhere, and with Billy being in it Pamela was probably around somewhere. Forgot about Parky.....so false alarm anyway.

Well on un-muting I don't think that was one of the finest musical interludes I have posted on the PE Jukebox :-D

I revived Des O'Connor on the "How Many Miles in the Month Thread" in a random link to Piccadilly the destination on my "Micra mileage" bus. Well it autoplayed on to a few songs of the era and in particular a few on the bounce from the Seekers. Probably under-represented at the Pickled Egg, although Mick's friend Bob lobbed one on the pub jukebox on our Pennine Cycleway Challenge. It was then that we discovered Judith Durham's birth name as we supped our pints in "The Cock" at Whaley Bridge....titter titter :-D

So after Des' effort the first on the autoplay of any note, after a bit of Jim Dale, was the Seekers with Georgy Girl.
Excellent!

...and then a very classy performance of "I know I'll never find another you"

For some reason I thought that song was just called 'Another You' so I went to check and soon found I was wrong. However my time was not wasted as I found this site which yielded a few less common Seekers recordings, so rather than post them individually I thought it better to post the link so Seekers fans can go and indulge. You may well find Bob in the way! :-D

The trip to California on the Chain reminded me of this song, never heard it for ages.....Type of thing I like.

Now, I work in the city
I think my job is a gas
And I know it's good for me
To travel and get off my ass
But the very best parts of each trip
Are the Golden Gate Bridge
And the road like a snake
That will lead me back home to my ridge

Listening to that track I was reminded very much of another one. I'm not sure if it was the melody, the tempo, the story or even the style but it certainly reminded me of this:

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Lots of versions of What Have They Done To The Rain

The first one I heard and still the best.
One of my friends said of Joan Baez that it was music to slit your wrists to. Can't agree with that.

All black & white music, from before there were any colours.

Lava Lamp day. Never knew but Duran Duran did a song called Lava Lamp. Can't imagine its any good never heard it yet, but it fits so lets give it an airing...

Surprisingly its from their 10th Studio Album probably prophetically named Pop Trash but DD fans may lap up everything they did but not for me on first hearing!

The meanderings over at the Pickled Egg Quiz viewtopic.php?p=650186#p650186 lead me to put this one up. No prizes for guessing why, though it's a little bit of a stretched link :-D

Sadly no longer a C5 owner :(
