Currently none of the LNER's Azuma Class 800 trains have been named, although a competition was announced last month for names to be submitted for consideration for 10 of the trains.

LNER celebrates Azuma first birthday with the chance to name a train

LNER is encouraging customers to get creative and submit names which reflect the picturesque LNER route, notable destinations, community heroes or rail icons from history.

Must admit, I never realised you could stand on the beach at Budleigh Salterton and wave at people in Dover. And what happened to the Isle of Wight and their little London Underground trains, are they not worthy of a map of the UK ?
