It wouldn't be right to let such an occasion pass without an airing on the PE:

Throw away line on a documentary I watched from Martin Ware (he of Heaven 17 Fame) discussing the DR Who theme tune.....and the "hitting a Lampshade" element of the theme..created by the radiophonic workshop.

Bit of reading about it here.....
https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radi ... -festivals

and about the lady who was instrumental in taking Ron Grainer's composition and producing something quite remarkable Delia Derbyshire

https://www.theguardian.com/news/2001/j ... bituaries1

but we might as well have the full monty

If you want to delve further Electric Storm by White Noise featured the hand of Delia Derbyshire. Obviously challenging/wierd/"not proper music", but then again neither was Camembert Electrique by Gong :-D

Strange thing, no videos will play from forums today, only directly in YouTube (listening to Mazzy Star)
Probably an upgrade somewhere but both Firefox and Chromium affected.

Here's Max Jaffa's debut on the Pickled Egg Jukebox. From 1956 until 1986, his concerts from The Spa, Scarborough, were frequently featured on BBC Radio.

Which reminds me that I keep meaning to order Dennis Potter's "Blackeyes".
I can barely remember it but recall it was good at the time, even the wife liked it - along with anything else by Dennis Potter "The Singing Detective" for one.

Although now I can watch it online.
