mickthemaverick wrote: 07 Nov 2019, 22:09 Indeed it was Neil to the original record, but I posted the rewrite for Princess Diana's funeral and the "B" side was as I said, although some sources have it listed as a double "A" side. In fact I seem to remember it was a 3 track record, almost an EP, with another short song, You Can Make History, making up the "B" side, though the panel to the right of the following link suggests a slightly different arrangement!! :)

Either way it was one hell of a performance under the circumstances!! :) :)
Having just discovered that Mick I added a bit more to my post!

Talking about milk floats in 'Dump your Deezel' reminded me of this obvious tale of woe:

Now various versions of Johnny and Mary penned by Robert Plamer were featured in most of the Nicole/Papa series of Renault Clio adverts. But the odd one out was Soul II Soul and "Keep on Movin".

This appeared on the side bar. Sade could sing the telephone book. She can also sing the kiss of life. No moving pictures required.

As for Robert Palmer:

It even has music, and singing.

A different twist on Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love" was Shania Twain's "Man! I feel like a Woman";

Indeed there are, on a Saturday morning I tend to put the laptop on autoplay and see what comes up and occasionally find a gem. I think it's probably the actual music which gets my attention first and then I tend to restart and watch the performance. I thought this one was better than most. :)

I don't know if anybody saw the BBC program on the making of the album "Children in Need; Got it Covered" in support of Children in Need, but the story that REALLY tugs on my heartstrings is that of Jodie Whittaker and her nephew Harry, who died at 3 years old due to complications in his Downs Syndrome. His favourite song was "Yellow" by Coldplay. The video of her rehearsing (and then recording) her version of this song is emotional;

I have bought the album, and while none of the artists are professional singers, they gave their songs all of their hearts, and you cannot ask for more than that.
