Over 15664 miles it has averaged 36.04 MPG - I filled it up today and wiped the computer but the average speed from recollection is a dismal 29 MPH :(

No inspiring figures there then although the MPG is steadily increasing - I normally would get 400 miles from a tankful but lately it has crept up to around 500.

Been using Torq diesel the past six months or more.

307 1.6 HDi 110 - 53.2 MPG over 5.5k miles at average of about 35mph according to the computer. Computer economy seems a reasonable match for reality - 650 miles out of about 55 litres. Oh, and HMG only want £130 to tax it at the end of the month :-D

'97 406 1.9TD on 209,000 miles running 80% WVO and 20% misfuel, boost turned up to 18psi, 42mpg over the last 5,000 miles. The fuel is 18ppl so that's working out at 1.95 pence per mile. Best tank on record is 55mpg.

2007 C5 II 2.0 HDi with 72k. Mixed driving, from motorway, country roads, city and quite a bit of stop-start heavily-laden runs to the tip. Climate control on for most of the time. not bad for a huge estate car, although running on V-Power has helped. Oh, it's a six-speed manual.

I reset MPG etc regularly and certainly before long trips otherwise info becomes a bit irrelevant. MPG is only of use to me over a single trip, a single tankful or in an unusual situation such as a full and heavy load. Unfortunately, the 173. 2.2 HDI is a thirsty beast. The mph shown is about as much as I usually retain for reference, and the figure is for a fully loaded and rapid motorway journey of 600 miles plus some urban miles.
