I wonder if it is that that passes over every Thursday night, midnight -ish.

It is very slow moving and quite loud, said to be a cargo plane.

It stopped during the Covid crisis but has resumed again recently.

The plane I spotted today on a closer look at the photo's is sporting the Low Visibility Roundel of the RAF. Based at RAF Brize Norton flying with 99 Squadron "Delivering world-class strategic airlift with the RAF's C-17 providing long-range, heavy lift transport."

This, I think.
Strange that there s only one flight logged to Newcastle currently, from Geneva.

It seems to be heading for Ireland too, or perhaps Manchester.

^ Over the IOM now, seems very slow and not the planned route. Weather problems perhaps.

Nailed Mick Well done, its a Maintenance railway which goes under the carriageway of the Severn (Prince of Wales?) Bridge, the newer one of the two.

MIchael Portillo did it on his Railway Journeys programme on BBC 2 tonight, and visited Newport Station too.

The Wolstenholme bit was just me acknowledging your post pointing out I hadn't linked in the picture properly but that I had corrected it.....with the end bit of Ken's famous commentary "They think its all over....."it is now!"
