The very floor. The size of the circle I expect is much smaller than the picture might give the impression of. Contained within one bathroom floor tile.

So I'll waste Q 9

Q9 Is the lighter circle on the picture caused by the removal of an object?

You have indeed wasted that one. I said in an earlier answer that nothing had ever stood there. Now a little more info as time is moving on and I intend to reveal tonight!
So a final pair of clues. The phenomenon will not be there when SWMBO is using the bathroom, but is highly likely to be there when I am'! :-D

Nice idea but no, it has only been around for the last three weeks and will hopefully be gone in another three! :-D

Excellent thinking but way off target I'm afraid.. The image is caused by an item She uses but I don't, so it was in its out of use position when I took the photo! :-D

Too high tech for me to even imagine Neil, never seen one.
Best I can do is an illuminated makeup mirror.
Again, never seen one as the wife eschewed makeup for the most part.

Very well thankyou Dormouse, she has now had all her dressings removed and is doing her exercise regime 3 times daily, plus walking around a bit on an hourly basis. She is now confident to use the stairs on her own although I have asked her not to yet if I am out shopping etc. I'd say recovery is pretty much on track!! :-D
