I am leaning towards the jetwash at a local garage in North Watford. I used to use it to wash the company Prius as I refused to put much effort into it other than walking round the car with the gun, three stages : wet, soap, rinse and wax I believe it was and there was usually too much time on the wet section but not enough on the rinse. You had to buy the token at the kiosk and you could have 3 different types giving different function sequences or time slots, not really sure because I only ever had the cheapest basic function option. However there were three slots on the machine and your token would only fit in the one you paid for due to the ridges being different!! :-D

I've had an hour's delving on this and so far I am none the wiser. I have to head off to Orpington now so hopefully there may be more to go on when I get home!! :)

An hour's delving more than earns a little more to go on. Have to guard against a simple image search coming up with the answer so I can reveal that the factory where the vehicle was built was Poissy and a particularly significant year 1954.

...and a few more visuals of the car, the little "clear" light on the rear cluster came on when you selected reverse gear....quite an innovation at the time.

I suppose it has to be a Ford cum Simca at that time with a V8 but I'm guessing.

Yes correct suppositions Gibbo....The answer on the card is a precise model.

It's was product of Ford SAF (Société Anonyme Française) and built in France
