I'm devoid of other research material here, but do those windscreen wipers sweep the correct way for a RHD car ?

Indeed it is right hand drive with wipers parked to the right which is how I got to the Jag. However good point there Gibbo, unless it was an after market conversion of a coupe possibly? Meanwhile the search goes on........... :-D

I found a Jag with wipers going the same way but on rechecking it was a LHD car so I've just shot myself in the foot and now I'm hopping mad!! :-D

Just a bit of easily available info about the song
Recorded May–July 1981
Released: 17 August 1981

Video filmed in Milton Keynes.....could they have popped across to Aston Martin and asked them if they had any spare cars that Cliff could use in the Video :-D

I wondering if it is indeed a LHD car and that's a fake steering wheel he's groping. The real driver is actually out of shot, allowing Sir Cliff to do his best Carlos Fandango impression without risking innocent members of the public :-D

I had a chuckle at that :-D

If anyone wants to have a whizz through the actual video and maybe get a better screenshot than me its on the PE Jukebox.

I don't think so. He is on the same side as the main wiper arc (so better visibility). Having it on the back of a transporter (with carefully set up camera angles) or trailer is more likely.

Certainly a British offering.

The wipers had me scratching my head, not for the position but for the type with the side pin fixing, I did think maybe Aston Martin might be right but I've not had much to do with that end of the market, could even be something as mundane as an MGC or Healey 3000.

The interior trim does look a bit special or upmarket.
Man is, by nature, a lazy beast, he does not need twice encouraging to do nothing.

Now that would fit nicely will the scanty evidence we have, very adjacent I would think. "Wing" mirrors body coloured, chrome surround windscreen, nice interior right colour, quarter light, and I did think there was a bonnet bulge in the vid too.

Just have to phone up Cliff now to confirm :-D Or maybe write to him and being a bit of a car buff, I'm sure he would oblige.
