Got it guys. Remove plug at side of unit as this tries to hold housing from being pulled out......oops Blunt screwdriver inserted into the 3 slot openings which are 90deg to fan drum. Lever each rubber bushing one a bit at a time towords fan drum and it is out no probs.
I will ask Jim to do transistors if he has any. Many thanks guys
