This has been a very long thread, Mat, and the problem is still not exactly identified.
Can I suggest you post the problem on club-xm.co.uk, where there is additional technical resource?
The site is also php.BB, so easy to navigate.

A good idea. For now I will try to change the return hoses from the conjector / steering wheel control, brake valve and ABS as well as height correctors and the front height corrector. There are traces of wet return hoses. If it doesn't help, then I'll try to write it all over again ...

Just changed the hose clamps to the round ones on both ends of the pipe going to LHM pump and applied some silicone. What a huge difference... Its been 3 days and the harsh ride over potholes covers and small undulations has completely transformed to a smooth thud! A big difference! What a useful thread!

Glad to hear that's sorted. So many cases of those hose connections letting in air, and causing steering/suspension problems. A case where factory-type properly circular clips really are a good idea. They're also neat in appearance, too.

Yes, about 6 years ago, I had a local indie change all the LHM pipes with new thick hydraulic pipes, so he also changed the hose clamps. Probably the original ones didnt fit since the pipes were thicker. It took me this thread and all these years to realise that the clamps were the culprit! :rofl2:
