c5 1.6 hdi 2006 OBD11 compatible code reader that works

Is there an OBD11 code reader known to work on Citroen C5 1.6 hdi 2006. Have tried a Topdon AL400 but it would not read codes. Thinking it may have been defective even though new as VW Bora 2001 and Toyota GT86 2018 would not read either. Perversely a Renault Van gave up its codes no trouble. Code reader sent back but I am confused and still need a code reader capable of turning off warning lights on the dash. Any help with knowledgeable info gratefully received.

I have a Memoscan OBD11 reader which I used on the C4 HDi I had last year and it turned off the codes ok. It is nowhere near as versatile as the Diagbox tool but then it only costs £25-30 normally. I found this example on ebay which is the same model I have so it may be a cheap option for you depending on exactly what you want to do. I used to have diagbox but I passed it on to another member when I sold my C5 2.2 HDi

Have just replaced crank sensor thinking it might sort a 2006 C5 1.6hdi with 68k on the clock. At the moment its a crank no start, has a brand new battery, new fuel filter ans fresh premium diesel. Have bled the injectors. Anyone help me out with info? The car has run quite sweetly until the old weak battery was removed and subsequently replaced with a brand new one. I have put 10 litres of premium diesel in onto a low tank. Primed the fuel line via the bulb. Turned the ign to start - nothing. It cranked only. Rev counter does not move. Key has been programmed and operates locks. What am I missing? Do I need to turn a code off?
